The most common cliché when it comes to children “Where did the time fly? One year already?” I look at you and shake my head in disbelief, really where did the time go? The months just flew by. It was a blur of things happening and life whizzing by. And in the midst of everything you just grew up. Ever smiling.
[with your bua][with your mema]
From the calm baby, you are this feisty little girl now. Woe betide anyone who tries to cross paths with you. Very clear about what you want, ready to take on people twice or thrice your size and totally fearless. Your stunts leave both of us gaping at you half of the time! Scramble up the stairs the moment anybody leaves the gate open. Climb on Mowgli’s chair and do all sort of acrobatics on it. Try to get inside all the cupboards and nooks. Bite Mowgli if he tries to take anything from your hand. Scream the place down if you think that Mowgli is going to take away your toy and at the same time slyly bite him. Laugh in pure joy at what all he does to you- drag you around the house, hug you tight, play his silly games with you. Eat out of Cocoa’s bowl and when she tries to push you away, slap her on the nose. Rest your head on her tummy whenever you feel like it. Act the injured party whenever people are watching and put on your most innocent expression. Ready to eat everything other than your food.
In other words we are gearing up to redefining the rules around here.
[with the BH's parents and Ishan(BH's sister's son)]
Your birthday party was a family affair. The BH’s parents came and made a yummy spread. The cake by me.
Mowgli and Unni chettayi cut the cake on your behalf and we all had a nice time. [You pulling Unni chettayi's hair]
So as always, God Bless.
Have fun and be good.
Luv,
Mama & Dada
